East Coast chefs and West Coast wines come together for a delicious dinner presented by Vasse Felix Winery, the founding winery of the Margaret River Region in Western Australia. After an arrival drink and canapés, indulge in a five-course menu matched with wines by Vasse Felix, including Idee Fixe by Vasse and an exclusive taste of the winery’s premium Tom Cullity Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec. Divine! Chief Vasse Felix winemakers will present the wines via video from Vasse Felix in WA.
The Taste Port Douglas edition of Girl’s Night Out will treat guests to a selection of two Belvedere cocktails and canapés on arrival and a two-course feasting menu curated by two fierce culinary women: Restaurateur and MasterChef alumni, Laura Sharrad and Sheraton Grand Mirage Port Douglas Executive Chef, Belinda Tuckwell. At the heart of Taste Port Douglas is Festival Village on the grounds of the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas. Award winning chef & restaurateur Ben Williamson brings his acclaimed Brisbane restaurant Agnes to the Far North in an exciting collaboration with PorkStar. Guests will experience the drama and ancient skill of cooking over fire as Ben lights fires in custom pits designed by local craftspeople, Aussie Campfire Kitchens, with the best regional produce for the first time since opening Agnes in 2020. The Agnes x PorkStar Pop-Up features as part of the incredible food offering at the Harry Hawker Street Food Party with guests able to purchase an Agnes tasting plate on the night.
Set behind the panoramic Four Mile Beach and beautiful mountain backdrop of Port Douglas, join Survivor Golf, Taste Port Douglas celebrity chefs and local sporting personalities as they take on a nine-hotel Ambrose golf competition to raise money for Kick On. Kick On promotes positive mental health through various programs and campaigns. Following lunch players will be treated to a premium lunch by guest chefs at the Mirage Country Club.
Devil’s Thumb Distillery is a craft spirit distillery located 5km from Port Douglas, and this masterclass will leave you on your way to becoming a master cocktail maker. During this interactive class, guests will be taught the essentials of cocktail perfection, putting a twist on cocktail favourites, and treating your palate to the distinguished flavours of one of Far North Queensland’s unique and award-winning craft distilleries, all paired with gourmet bites throughout the class.
Held at Feast Restaurant, guests will enjoy a menu that celebrates the champions of the sea with esteemed producers from Australia and New Zealand. Hosted by industry expert Umar Nguyen, guests will have front row seats to live food stations, while brand representatives shine a light on Australia’s seafood quality and diversity. Guests will enjoy an Aperol Spritz and canapés on arrival and will then be free to roam the seafood marketplace while indulging in an unlimited feast accompanied by a 2.5 hour premium wine package.
Farewell the festival under palm trees and stars at the official wrap party for Taste Port Douglas 2021 with a feast of pig on the spit and accompaniments alongside delicious gin cocktails and our guest Chefs. Guests will enjoy live music by Ashcats Soundsystem & DJ Bart through the night along with food stations and a free-flowing beverage package.
